Ein Phänomen, dass in der Musikgeschichte schon recht häufig vorkam (sei es wegen bestimmten Melodien, Ton- oder Akkordfolgen). Das Paradebeispiel dürfte da wohl "My Sweet Lord" (1970) von George Harrison sein, das beinahe identisch ist mit "He's So Fine" (1963) der US-Girlband The Chiffons. Laut Harrison ist dieses Plagiat allerdings nicht bewusst geschehen. Trotzdem musste er nach einem Gerichtsverfahren zwei Drittel seiner Tantiemen an den ursprünglichen Songschreiber Ronnie Mack zahlen. Weitere Beispiele, die mir gerade einfallen (egal, ob mit oder ohne Klage, bzw. bewusst oder unbewusst):

*Bobby McFerrin - "Don't Worry, Be Happy" (1988) vs. 4 Non Blondes - "What's Up" (1993)
*Killing Joke - "Eighties" (1984) vs. Nirvana - "Come As You Are" (1992)
*Pink Floyd - "Echoes" (1971) vs. Andrew Lloyd Webber - "Das Phantom der Oper" (1986)
*Umberto Tozzi - "Gloria" (1979) vs. Pulp - "Disco 2000" (1995)

Ich glaube, dass sich Webber eher bei Wakeman's "Judas Iscariot" bedient hat.

Das ist m. W. schon geklärt. Wakey hat sowas jedenfalls mal behauptet.

Deep Purple und APP klingen bei den genannten Beispielen zwar ähnlich, aber es sind für mich zwei unterschiedliche Lieder.

Mir fällt noch etwas ein: Porcupine Tree's "Time Flies", das sehr stark an Pink Floyd's "Dogs" erinnert.

Das hier ist ein Plagiat (ganz klar hörbar) - und Huey Lewis hat sogar einen Prozess gewonnen (soweit ich micht erinnere ).
