Gegensatz: Für neue Alben habe ich kaum Wünsche. Wenn ich mir etwas bestelle, brauche ich schon immer dafür immer so eine Art Initialzündung, einen besonderen Anlass. So wie jetzt das neue YES-Album und die kommende DVD. Das kommt im Schnitt so zwei bis drei mal im Jahr vor.
Mit dem, was ich hier habe, bin ich mehr als zufrieden. Und da ist im Laufe der vielen Jahre und auch sehr Nachhaltiges zusammengekommen. Ein Sammlertrieb ist bei mir Null vorhanden. Da ist so viel, was ich immer gerne wieder auflege oder auch noch endlich mal wieder auflegen möchte. Mir reicht das (fast..) völlig. Die Leidenschaft zur Musik ist ungebrochen; aber ich brauche nicht ständig Neues...

Genetisch betrachtet, bin von der Veranlagung her vermutlich wenig der Jäger und Sammler, sondern mehr auf Ackerbau und Viehzucht gerichtet... :ohman:

ASH RA TEMPEL & TIMOTHY LEARY: SEVEN UP

Ich habe sie als CD & finde, für eine liveAufnahme ist sie viel zu kurz!!!

This album is so grossly underappreciated it's not even funny. I think this album is total genius. ASH RA TEMPEL was never known for a steady lineup, the band lost vocalist John L. from their previous album (I heard stories that John L.'s previous band, AGITATION FREE thought he was so far out there that they had to give him the boot, and apparently ASH RA TEMPEL felt the same). For an organist, they brought in Steve Schroyder, who previously appeared on TANGERINE DREAM's "Alpha Centauri" (and also Zeit, but only as a guest). And of course, it wouldn't be ASH RA TEMPEL without guitarist Manuel Göttsching, plus bassist Hartmut Enke is still here.
This album features none other than Timothy Leary, the famous LSD guru! He was in exile in Switzerland, and in fact, ASH RA TEMPEL had to record this album in Switzerland because Leary would have been arrested if he ended up in Germany. Anyway, this album really was done under the influence of LSD. Leary would spike the cans of 7-Up that the band members would drink with LSD, and then let them play. The first half of the album featured a bunch of blues songs, but never let that deceive you! After only a couple minutes, all hell breaks loose with the most relentless electronic effects that jut won't let up! Every time you think the band is starting to rock out or play the blues, it goes right back to LSD land just that fast! The second half of the album is more conventional ASH RA TEMPEL, keeping with the early '70s Krautrock sound (reminding me of early TANGERINE DREAM). Grossly underrated stuff, as far as I'm concerned.

In dem Falle würde ich das mal bei eBay als Suche speichern und Dir Mails schicken lassen, wenn sowas dort auftaucht. Da kann man durchaus mal Glück haben. Amazon Kanada hatte sie, glaube ich, letztes Jahr noch für umgerechnet ca. 60 Euronen bei einer Lieferzeit von ca. 1 bis 3 Monaten angeboten. Momentan haben sie dort aber keine vorrätig.

Ich besitze die Original-LP incl. Textbeilage.
Das Label "Kosmische Kuriere" sagte schon viel aus.
Als Kultteil ist das eine Wahnsinns Rarität.

Musikalisch ist das aber sehr abgefahren.
Von meditativen Schwebeklängen bis hin zu hysterischem Schreigesang wird hier alles geboten.
Das ganze ist stark mit der Drogenkultur der frühen 70er verwurzelt.
Mir gefällt es aber allgemeinen Hörgewohnheiten ist es eher nicht zugänglich.

dieser Preis ist natürlich Wucher.
Zum Glück hab ich sie mir gleich nach erscheinen zugelegt.
Der 5.1 Mix finde ich hervorragend auch Live at Wembly.
Das wäre mir schon ein Fuffi wert.
Allerdings bekommt man das Livekonzert auch auf der Deluxe-DoCD.
Wenn man sich nicht für 5.1 interessiert, dürfte die völlig ausreichend sein.

Genau so geht es mit auch!
Meine, für mich riesige, Platten und CD/DVD Sammlung, die ich vielleicht nie mehr vollständig durchhören kann, reicht mir.

Input bekomme ich bei verschiedenen Gelegenheiten und das reicht dann auch eine Weile um sich mit dem Material dann auseinanderzusetzen.

Das Sammeln beschränke ich auf wertvolle Stücke oder Vollständigkeit bei einzelnen Bands(alle LP/alle Erstausgaben z.B).
Immer ohne Zwang, kann noch lange dauern.
Manchmal hab ich es dann nicht richtig drauf im Plattenladen, und dann hab ich zwei wetvolle LP.
Oft kann ich auch dem Mainstream nicht folgen, besonders, wenn mancher Künstler zu sehr hochgejubelt wird, auch im Prog.
Ist dann möglicherweise schade für den Künstler, wird später, vielleicht.
