BRUCE HORNSBY - SOLO CONCERTS

Bruce ist einer meiner absoluten Tasten-Götter. Von der Variabilität her weit jenseits von Emerson oder Wakeman, wenn es sein muss aber locker genau so schnell. Der kann Welthits raushauen und ebenso locker mit Jazz-Größen jammen. Das ist mir sympathisch und das finde ich bewundernswert. Jetzt präsentiert er ein reines Solo-Doppel-Album. Hornsby, ein Flügel und seine Stimme live. Da würfelt er Boogie Woogie mit Jazz und Pop, er beginnt einen netten Popsong und driftet ab in höchst komplizierte Improvisation und landet wieder im eingängigen R'n'B-Groove.

Das ist Musik. Das ist Leben. So muss das sein. für

Die DVD ist guter sound für diese Verhältnisse, das Winterland Ballroom ist leider noch in s/w!
Die CDs sind im typischen remastered sound von den Fillmore etc. Bändern gezogen, also altersgerechter sound!!!

gefällt mir sehr.
Der Name der Box ist ziemlich irritierend, ich dachte es geht hier um eine Best of.
Von QMS gibt massenweise Mitschnitte, vieles klingt allerdings unterirdisch oder wird doppelt veröffentlicht.
Wie ist die Aufmachung der Box, ordentliches Booklet dabei?
